Jarvis Transferred to California Men's Colony-For Now

Jarvis has now been transferred from Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) in Jamestown to the California Men’s Colony (CMC) in San Luis Obispo, in the wake of his recent hunger strike.

As reported by medical staff at CMC, Jarvis is now in the prison’s medical unit, and will remain there to be monitored for 8 days as part of a refeeding protocol. Jarvis started fasting on June 19 and didn’t eat for 25 days to bring attention to ongoing systemic mail tampering and censorship issues that he and others were experiencing at SCC. He is calling for a fair, independent investigation into the mailroom’s management.

We have not yet heard from Jarvis himself and remain deeply concerned until he can make phone calls out or attend a legal call with this attorneys. The story is incomplete without his version of events. It remains unclear if this is a permanent move to the new prison, and whether or not all his property has since or will be completely and appropriately transported as well. Jarvis had previously requested to be transferred to CMC to participate in training for the Offender Mentor Certification Program (OMCP). Updates will continue to be posted on this thread.

UPDATE: 7/20/25: We have now heard from Jarvis; he will remain at the CMC prison hosptial until his health stabilizes. He reports he is being well taken care of by the medical staff. It remains unclear if this is a temporary transfer.
